Cambridge White trekked down to Bristol for the 2019 Bristol Brew on 30th Nov / 1st Dec. On arrival at Chew Valley Lake, the wind appeared gusty and shifty. The challenging conditions were different from much of the team’s training so far this year. The team ended Saturday with 5 wins from 8 races. This was enough to qualify as the highest team in the Silver League.
In much lighter conditions on the Sunday, White won 4 of their 5 races. This meant they were the “silver surfer”, but unfortunately lost the 4 vs. Silver Winner race to Exeter Blue. Cindies Sailing Club, a team consisting of 5 recent Cambridge alumni won the 2019 Bristol Brew final 2-0.
