How To Sign Up
This is a special non-public page to enable students and others invited to participate in a Club activity to sign up to the Club’s membership requirements without paying a membership fee. Examples are the Michaelmas Team Racing Trials, and someone drafted in at short notice to sail on a University team because a regular member has dropped out. You can only sail in one weekend event this way, or in two separate one-day events, then you are required to join the Club.
As its name implies, this membership lasts for just one day or, if relevant, a week-end. You need to sign up again for the second of two separate one-day events.
If you are a registered student of Cambridge University and sign up, you are covered by personal accident insurance for the day (or weekend) of your membership. Although we have never had an accident in the last 10 years, if you are a postdoc or a student of another institution you would be wise to ascertain what personal accident cover you have when taking part in sporting activities and associated travel.
